UPDATED: 8th International Illustration Competition “Light as a boulder”

The 8th International Illustration Competition entitled: “Light as a boulder”, organized by Fondazione Malagutti onlus through the “Diritti a Colori” network in partnership with AI (Association of Authors of Images) is addressed to Italian and foreign professional illustrators with the goal of promoting Children’s Rights.

 1st prize: 2,500 euros; the image will become the symbolic image of the XVI International Figurative Arts Exhibition for Young Artists and it will be also promoted in the calendar;

2nd prize: 1,000 euros and promotion in the calendar;

3rd prize: it is addressed to further 10 selected works for the creation of a calendar; the authors of the illustrations will receive 5 copies each together with a Special Mention;

Award by the public: 7-days stay in a residence, hotel, farmhouse holiday or bed and breakfast, rental only (travel expenses and accommodation taxes are excluded), in an Italian touristic location.

All the winners will be offered the opportunity to hold a personal exhibition at the Diritti a Colori Art Gallery located in the historic centre of Mantua.

The deadline is October 31, 2024.

ATTENTION: in order to avoid misunderstandings and inconveniences during shipping, please remember to stick the on the outside of the envelope containing the illustrations and documents required the “PARCEL LABEL” FORM completed with the sender’s data and address.

Indeed, the parcel label form contains the indications: “Illustrations without commercial value”, “Do not fold” and the recipient’s address for the chosen carrier.
