The Undersecretary of State for Defense, Senator Isabella Rauti, was on a mission to Vancouver from February 14th to 17th to attend the last events and participate in the closing ceremony of the 7th edition of the “Invictus Games.” The Undersecretary led a delegation of athletes from the Defense Paralympic Sports Group (GSPD) and the Veterans Center (CVD), consisting of 17 athletes.
During the event, Undersecretary Rauti held side meetings with the Deputy CEO of the Invictus Games Foundation, Richard Smith, as well as with parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, and representatives of Canadian associations involved in organizing the Invictus Games.
Senator Rauti also had a warm and engaging meeting, organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver, with a large and distinguished group from the Italian-Canadian community and its representative organizations at the Italian Cultural Centre in Vancouver.
Senator Rauti, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, Admiral Giacinto Ottaviani, was assisted by the Italian Ambassador to Canada, Alessandro Cattaneo, the Consul General in Vancouver, Paolo Miraglia Del Giudice, and the Defense Attaché, General Davide Marzinotto.
