The Italian Embassy in Ottawa is glad to announce the second edition of the Ingegno Italiano Award and invites Italian researchers working in Canada to apply.
The prize is for Italian researchers who have distinguished themselves for outstanding scientific results, and more generally for having honoured Ingegno Italiano, in one of the fields of knowledge defined by the European Research Council: Life Sciences (LS), Physical and Engineering Sciences (PE) and Social Sciences and Humanities (SH).
The Scientific Office of the Italian Embassy in Ottawa coordinates this initiative in collaboration with the associations of researchers present in Canada (ARPICO, AiriCerca|Toronto, CSIC).
Evaluation and Awards
The Scientific Office of the Embassy of Italy coordinates the evaluation procedure with the support of the Scientific Council of the Embassy.
Award winners will be selected mainly for the quality and scientific relevance of the research conducted and for the impact in the following fields of knowledge: Life Sciences, Physical and Engineering Sciences, and Social Sciences and Humanities. Other criteria may also be taken into account, such as publications or awards received by the candidate.
The Ambassador will award the winners, whose names will be published on the website and social media of the Embassy, during a ceremony that will take place as part of a scientific and networking event organized by the Italian Embassy in Ottawa, in the spring of 2025.
