Chamber-music concert “Music between the Old and New Worlds” and photo exhibit “Benfatto” (October 15)

The Embassy of Italy in Canada presented a chamber music concert by the Tedesco-Piccotti-Consonni Trio from Accademia dei Cameristi last Sunday, October 15, at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre in Ottawa. Before an audience of nearly 300 people including Ambassadors, dignitaries and lovers of Italian music and culture, the talented young Italian musicians – violinist Fabiola Tedesco, cellist Erica Piccotti and pianist Martina Consonni – performed exquisitely a program entitled “Music between the Old and New Worlds” with refined and rarely presented compositions by Alfredo Casella, Leonard Bernstein and Giuseppe Martucci.

The concert was followed by a reception accompanied by a selection of the photo exhibit “Benfatto” on Italian craftsmanship, made available and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Confartigianato, which shows the beauty, creativity, quality and modernity of Italian know-how in the fields of goldsmithing, furniture, agrifood, fashion and innovation.
