The Director General for Political Affairs and Security, Ambassador Pasquale Ferrara, is on an official visit to Canada

The conflict in Ukraine, food and energy security, the stabilization of Libya and the situation in the Sahel were the topics on the agenda of the meeting in Ottawa between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director General for Political Affairs and Security, Ambassador Pasquale Ferrara, and his Canadian counterpart, Assisant Deputy Minister Heidi Hulan.

Ambassador Pasquale Ferrara, on an official visit to Canada to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Canada, was accompanied by the Ambassador of Italy to Canada, H.E. Andrea Ferrari. In addition to Heidi Hulan, the meeting was also attended by officials of Canada’s Privy Coucil Office. The aim of the diplomatic mission was to establish a strategic dialogue between the two Countries on political and security issues.
