Sustainability in Architecture. An Italian Best Practice: The Experience of CasaClima

The Embassy of Italy in Ottawa, the Italiano Cultural Institute in Toronto and the Italian Trade Commission – Toronto Office are pleased to present Tuesday, October 6 at 12:30 pm EDT the webinar: Sustainability in Architecture. An Italian Best Practice: The Experience of CasaClima.

In a conversation led by Umberto Berardi, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science at Ryerson University in Toronto, the Managing Director of Agenzia CasaClima, Ulrich Santa, will present the research, development and monitoring activities through which the Agency supports and promotes a sustainable approach in the construction sector.

Agenzia CasaClima is an agency of the Italian Autonomous Province of Bolzano. It was founded to carry out mandatory energy certifications of buildings in the Region of Alto Adige and it now operates throughout the rest of the country. Agenzia CasaClima offers a broad range of training opportunities in the construction industry. It organizes and promotes initiatives to raise public awareness in the areas of energy efficiency, sustainability, construction quality, and climate protection.

Following the discussion, thanks to the support of the Italian Trade Commission in Toronto, participants will have the opportunity to meet B2B with leading Italian companies in the environmental sustainability sector, with applications in the construction industry.

Part of the Sustainable Development Festival 2020 program, the event will open with remarks by Italy’s Ambassador to Canada, His Excellency Claudio Taffuri.
