“I express my firmest condemnation and the grief and closeness of Italy to the Russian State and people for the bombing of a few hours ago in St. Petersburg,” said Angelino Alfano, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

“To the families of the victims, I convey my warmest solidarity. To the numerous people injured, I address my wishes for a quick recovery. Italy will continue to stand by Russia in the fight for international peace and security and against terrorism.”
