Climate: Historic USA-China breakthrough agreement to be ratified by Italy, say Gentiloni and Galletti

“The ratification of the agreement reached at the Paris COP 21 between United States and China marks a historic breakthrough in combating climate change and leads to making the global economic model more sustainable. Within the context of Europe’s ambitious efforts, Italy is working on drafting its ratification law so as to submit it to Parliament before the end of September and complete the parliamentary procedure as quickly as possible,” Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni and the Minister of the Environment Gian Luca Galletti wrote in a joint communiqué.
