Italy and Canada signed a new Youth Mobility Agreement

The new agreement between Italy and Canada on Youth Mobility was signed on December 11th by Canada's Minister of Immigration Marco Mendicino in Ottawa and by Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs Luigi Di Maio in Rome.

The Agreement expands the scope of the current Working Holiday Program by allowing post-secondary students (International Co-op) and post-secondary graduates interested in acquiring professional experience in the host country (Young professionals) to participate in the exchange programs.

Once in effect, the new Agreement will provide young people from the two countries aged between 18 and 35 with new opportunities to enrich their curriculum and to identify further employment opportunities.

Ambassador Claudio Taffuri, during a meeting with the Minister of Immigration Marco Mendicino following the signature, highlighted how "this step represents further confirmation of the deep cultural bond and excellent relationship that historically connect the two countries.“
