On November 28, the Italian Embassy in Ottawa organized, in collaboration with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, “Italy Meets Canada,” the launch event of the CDP Business Matching digital platform in the Canadian market, an innovative tool to connect Italian and Canadian businesses. Partners in the initiative include SIMEST, Confindustria, CNA, the ICE Agency-Toronto Office, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the West of Canada, the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario, the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA), the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Italy to Canada, Andrea Ferrari, expressed full confidence in the platform’s potential to further strengthen the already strong business relationship between Italy and Canada.
The event featured institutional representatives from both countries – including CDP’s Director of European and International Affairs and President of SIMEST, Pasquale Salzano, and Confindustria’s Vice President for Internationalization, Barbara Beltrame, as well as the Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, Filomena Tassi, and Senator Tony Loffreda. Leading Canadian industrial associations and some important corporate testimonials, such as STELLANTIS and MAPEI participated in the launch. Special attention was given to Green Technologies in the automotive sector.
