{"id":6077,"date":"2025-02-14T17:29:06","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T16:29:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambottawa.esteri.it\/?p=6077"},"modified":"2025-02-14T17:31:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T16:31:09","slug":"biennale-di-venezia-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambottawa.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2025\/02\/biennale-di-venezia-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Biennale di Venezia 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please find below the press release published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labiennale.org\/en\/news\/la-biennale-di-venezia-2025-presentazione-berlino-13-febbraio-e-londra-17-febbraio\">Biennale di Venezia website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">In\u00a0<strong>2025<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>La Biennale di Venezia<\/strong>\u00a0is organising the\u00a0<strong>19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0International Architecture Exhibition<\/strong>\u00a0directed by\u00a0<strong>Carlo Ratti<\/strong>\u00a0(10 May &gt; 23 November), the\u00a0<strong>53<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0International Theatre Festival<\/strong>\u00a0directed by\u00a0<strong>Willem Dafoe\u00a0<\/strong>(31 May &gt; 15 June), the\u00a0<strong>19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0International Festival of Contemporary Dance<\/strong>\u00a0directed by\u00a0<strong>Wayne McGregor<\/strong>\u00a0(17 July &gt; 2 August), the\u00a0<strong>82<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0Venice<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>International Film Festival\u00a0<\/strong>directed by\u00a0<strong>Alberto Barbera<\/strong>\u00a0(27 August &gt; 6 September), and the\u00a0<strong>69<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0International Festival of Contemporary Music<\/strong>\u00a0directed by\u00a0<strong>Caterina Barbieri<\/strong>\u00a0(11 &gt; 25 October).<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The\u00a0<strong>Special Project by the Historical Archive of La Biennale\u00a0<\/strong>concerns the revival of the\u00a0<strong>magazine La Biennale di Venezia<\/strong>, the historical magazine that was published between 1950 and 1971. The new Magazine, launched in\u00a0<strong>October 2024<\/strong>, is issued quarterly and is edited and produced by La Biennale. It is available\u00a0<strong>for sale in La Biennale\u2019s online store\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labiennale.org\/en\/buy-online\">labiennale.org\/en\/buy-online<\/a>\u00a0and in major bookstores.<\/p>\n<p>Other\u00a0<strong>Special Projects\u00a0<\/strong>organized by the\u00a0<strong>Biennale Archive\u00a0<\/strong>in 2025 include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The project\u00a0<strong><em>Expositio Sancti Evangelii secundum Iohannem (Comment of John\u2019s Gospel)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>by\u00a0<strong>Johannes Eckhart\u00a0<\/strong>(1260-1328 ca.), the Dominican theologian and mystic known as\u00a0<strong>Meister Eckhart\u00a0<\/strong>will take place starting\u00a0<strong>Wednesday 5 March\u00a0<\/strong>through\u00a0<strong>Sunday 9 March 2025<\/strong>, with repeat performances from\u00a0<strong>Tuesday 11 March\u00a0<\/strong>through\u00a0<strong>Saturday 15 March\u00a0<\/strong>(9:30 pm). The Project brings the\u00a0<em>Comment on John\u2019s Gospel\u00a0<\/em>to the\u00a0<strong>Portego delle colonne\u00a0<\/strong>in the\u00a0<strong>Scuola Grande di San Marco.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The\u00a0<strong>Special Project\u00a0<\/strong>titled\u00a0<strong><em>The Wind Makes the Sky. La Biennale di Venezia on the traces of Marco Polo<\/em><\/strong><em>,\u00a0<\/em>which follows the travels of Marco Polo on the occasion of the celebrations for the 700<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of his death (1324 \u2013 2024) continues. After the first stage in Hangzhou, with the exhibition titled\u00a0<em>The Perfect Path,\u00a0<\/em>and the second stage in Venice, with the exhibition\u00a0<em>Gulnur Mukazhanova. Memory of Hope<strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><strong>the third stage will take place in the Fall of 2025\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0<strong>Istanbul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">We would also like to underscore the importance, for the year 2025 as well, for all the artistic Departments of La Biennale, of the\u00a0<strong>workshop activities<\/strong>, which are given systematism and continuity through the project titled\u00a0<strong>Biennale College<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<strong>Educational\u00a0<\/strong>activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Please find below the press release published on the Biennale di Venezia website.
