This morning the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, received at the Farnesina Nancy Pelosi, the Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives, who was leading a delegation of members of the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n
In addition to the fight against Daesh, the talks focused on the stabilization perspectives of the major international crises. When discussing the two Countries\u2019 common commitment within NATO, Ms Pelosi expressed particular appreciation for Italy\u2019s contribution thereto.<\/p>\n
The meeting also offered an opportunity to exchange views on the issue of migration flows in Europe and in the Mediterranean, focusing special attention on the policies promoted the European Union and by Italy\u2019s Migration Compact proposal to counter the migration emergency. Another point on the meeting\u2019s agenda was also the referendum on Britain\u2019s exit from the EU, the political situation in Turkey and the current international economic cycle.<\/p>\n
