The evening’s guest of honour, chef Heinz Beck (3 Michelin stars), will be joined by well-known Toronto chef Rob Gentile, sommelier Marie Andr\u00e9e Gagnon, and Oscar Farinetti, founder of the Eataly chain of fine food stores.<\/p>\n
“A Dinner for Italy” will also mark the official end of the “Covid-19 AiutiAMO l’Italia” fundraising campaign launched by the Embassy of Italy in Ottawa last March to support the Red Cross and the Italian Civil Protection Department in their fight against the coronavirus.<\/p>\n
The event, presented in Italian and English on Zoom, will be moderated by Italian-Canadian businessman Domenic Primucci, and will feature the special attendance of the President of the Italian Red Cross, Francesco Rocca, and of\u00a0the President of the Canadian Red Cross, Conrad Sauv\u00e9.<\/p>\n
Among the Canadian Authorities, it is confirmed the participation of the Minister of Justice, David Lametti.<\/p>\n
