Police Forces Cooperation

Directorate General for Antidrug Services (DCSA)

As of October 31st, 2014, the Embassy includes an Office of the Italian Ministry of Interior Affairs – Central Directorate for Antidrug Services (DCSA), for cooperation between police forces in the two countries.

The head of the Office (with the title of Security Expert) works within the Embassy, has diplomatic status,  and is engaged in activities such as observation and study, consultation, and information to support the promotion of cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking.

Law n.10/2011 extends the Office’s responsibility and mandate to all transnational criminal contexts with a view to broadening the fight against criminal activity to the international level.
