A conversation between music and cultural heritage using the language of film. Three video episodes, written by Andrea Lai and directed by Francesco Coppola, present three exclusive musical performances by contemporary Italian artists set against famous Italian cultural landmarks.
Music For Uncertain Times tells the story of music through musicians, their notes and their words. It offers a reflection on music in times of change, in a journey narrated by renowned critics and curators: Gianluca Marziani at Museo del Novecento, Paola Ugolini at Castel dell'Ovo, and Claudio Gulli at Palazzo Butera.
Francesca Michielin and Vasco Brondi perform the single “Cattive Stelle” at the Museo del Novecento in Milan (first live performance of the song!).
Fiorella Mannoia and Clementino perform "Terra mia" by Pino Daniele at the Castel dell'Ovo in Naples.
Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiaracina, a.k.a. La Rappresentante di Lista, perform the single “Amare” at Palazzo Butera in Palermo.
The three episodes, launched on June 21st on the occasion of Music Day, are available for free on the Vimeo channel of the Italiana portal.
