Two practical guides for Italian entrepreneurs looking to expand their business overseas

The Embassy of Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Commission in Toronto and Montreal, has created two guides on how to invest in Canada and how to participate in public procurement; the project was carried out with the contribution of KPMG and Blakes law firms.

The aim of the guides is to provide, also through practical advice, a first orientation to potential interested parties, on how to operate in the variegated Canadian regulatory landscape.

“Canada is a country with a high index of openness to foreign investments, a growing economy with a competitive market that offers multiple opportunities to Italian companies” – says Ambassador Claudio Taffuri – “Every year about 200 billion Canadian dollars are spent on public procurement, which is mainly concentrated in the transport and energy sectors. I believe that these two guides, along with other tools, set up by this Embassy, such as the launch of the Public Procurement Observatory, can be a great help to the many Italian entrepreneurs who are looking to expand their business overseas. “
